Abstract

La etiología de la Endometriosis Intestinal está aun por aclararse per varios autores han planteado las siguientes teorías: Sampson considera que existe un reflujo de celulas endometriales a través de las trompas uterinas y que luego se implantan en el peritoneo o en las vísceras vecinales de la pelvis. Ivanoff y Meyer proponen la hipótesis de la metaplasia de las células de la serosa peritoneal en células endometriales en vista de que ambos proceden de un tejido embrionario idéntico.
