Main Article Content
From patients seen at the hematology service of the University Hospital in Cali, Colombia, 76 cases of lymphomas and leukemias were analyzed for antibodies to adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma virus (HTLV-I) and immunological typing. Two of 41 lymphomas (4.9%) and 1 of 35 leukemias (2.8%) had antibodies to the virus. Both lymphomas were of T-cell type with clinical and pathological features of high-grade malignancy. The leukemia case was immunologically undetermined.
