Barrera hemato-testicular
Abstract
Se presenta una revisión morfo-fisiológica de los elementos constitutivos de la barrera hemato-testicular. La primera fase de la barrera está a nivel del capilar; la segunda a nivel de la membrana limitante o pared del túbulo seminífero y la tercera a nivel de las uniones especializadas de la célula de Sertoli. En estos tres niveles se pueden detener algunas sustancias que tratan de llegar hasta las células germinativas. La barrera hemato-testicular es importante porque en un futuro no lejano, es factible activarla completamente y detener la espermatogénesis obteniéndose así los individuos sexualmente activos con incapacidad para fecundar.Authors
