Absceso piógeno del psoas
Abstract
Se revisan 64 historias del absceso piógenos del psoas en el Hospital Universitario del Valle. Se señalan características clínicas y se discuten el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de la entidad como cuadro séptico primario. El germen que se encontró con mayor frecuencia en el absceso fue el estafilococo coagulasa positivo. Los pacientes mejoran rápidamente con drenaje quirúrgico, tracción cutánea y un antibiótico apropiado. Esta revisión es, hasta el momento, la mayor serie de casos en la literatura.Authors
