Hepatitis post-transfusional

Abstract

Se revisa la literatura reciente sobre hepatitis producidas por virus y que puede transmitirse por transfusión de sangre o sus productos. La hepatitis "C" (ni A, ni B), representa de 60% a 80% de todas las hepatitis post-transfusionales y aún no hay pruebas de laboratorio para descubrirla. La hepatitis B, representa de 20% a 40% de las hepatitis post-transfusionels y es detectable, por métodos de tercera generación en aproximadamente 85% de los portadores. Las otras hepatitis virales parecen ocurrir solo excepcionalmente.
