Abstract
El Strongyloides stercoralis es un parásito único porque tiene la capacidad de reproducirse dentro del ser humano, lo que explica la persistencia de este helminto durante muchos años. En esta revisión se hace una actualización sobre los diferentes aspectos de esta entidad en el campo de la inmunobiología, diagnóstico y tratamiento. Se hace énfasis en las posibles relaciones con la infección por el virus HTLV-I.Authors
