Pancreatitis Aguda

La patogenesis de la pancreatitis aguda contínua oscura a pesar de la extensa investigación que se ha realizado y de las recientes y nuevas teorías que se han lanzado en la última década. Probablemente la confusión sea debida al concepto general de que la obstrucción del conducto pancreático es la causa principal de la pancreatitis, a pesar de que existe abundante evidencia experimental y patológica en contra de esta etiología. Por otra parte la confusión es mayor por la dificultad que existe para distinguir entre los factores etiológicos y los diversos mecanismos por los cuales aquellos producen pancreatitis.
