Abstract

La desnutrición proteica y el parasitismo intestinal constituyen serios problemas de salud pública en Colombia, y en el Valle del Cauca. Muchas de las enfermedades que producen malabsorción se presentan en áreas tropicales como la nuestra, por lo que el diagnóstico de este síndrome es aquí relativamente frecuente, y de muy variada etiología.
