Manuscript Submission Format

To submit a manuscript to Colombia Médica, authors must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure the document is properly structured and formatted according to the established standards:

1. Document Format:

  • Page size: Letter (8.5 x 11 inches).
  • Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides.
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point size.
  • Line spacing: Double-spaced.
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx).

2. Vancouver Guidelines:
The manuscript must comply with the recommendations of the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals (Vancouver Guidelines), including formatting for citations, references, and other technical aspects.

3. Continuous Line Numbering:
All manuscript lines must be consecutively numbered in the left margin, from the beginning to the end of the document, to facilitate the review process.

4. Text Without Justified Margins:
The text margins must be left-aligned and not justified to avoid spacing and readability issues during the review process.

5. Author and Contact Information:
Complete information about the authors, including names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, and details of the corresponding author, must be included on the first page.

This measure ensures a double-blind peer review process.
