A case of infectious mononucleosis was studied clinically and immunologically in a 23-year-old woman with a history of prostitution who presented with the neurologic manifestations of bilateral papilledema, meningismus, Babinski's reflex, and bilateral clonus. These clinical manifestations were associated with serologically confirmed Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection and alterations in cellular immune function.
