Postoperative treatment with antiplatelet drugs has been proven to be beneficial in preventing coronary artery bypass graft occlusion. This paper analyzed two groups of patients: one (212) without antiplatelet therapy and another (205) with it. It was found that there is an essential difference in the incidence of recurrence of postoperative angina. The physiopathology of early and late graft occlusion and the effect of antiplatelet drugs on its prevention are discussed.
