Insect bites

Bees, hornets, wasps, yellows, jachets, and ants are hymenoptera insects. Although humans are often stung by these arthropods, most accidents do not represent a serious challenge for the physician. Hypersensitivity reactions occur in only 10% of patients, and less than 4% have systemic reactions. The latter has a high risk of new systemic reactions. The latter has a high risk of a new systemic reaction and death. The management must follow two steps: first, an early phase in which support treatment and epinephrine are the cornerstones to stop the progress of the sensitivity reaction, and second, a delayed phase in which immunotherapy is used to avoid a new systemic reaction.
