A case of bilateral coronoid hyperplasia is presented. This developmental abnormality occurs primarily in males and is characterized by progressive, asymptomatic limitation of mandibular movement detected after puberty. Diagnosis is made based on the history and the radiographic findings. Besides adequate postoperative control, surgical removal of the coronoid processes will restore full mandibular movement.
