The epidemiological method studies the occurrence of diseases and other health phenomena in a given population. There are not too many epidemiological studies regarding learning disorders in the literature. This may be seen as a lack of interest by epidemiologists in studying these problems that do not cause mortality or disability or by the professionals in this area who have not studied their problems using the epidemiological method. Possible explanations are discussed. It is already time to design epidemiological studies to study learning disorders so that knowledge will increase and interventions on identified risk factors can also be implemented and evaluated.
