Topical management of burns
Main Article Content
Adequate management of the burn wound should follow an objective procedure. The protocol of treatment established by the burn unit and the careful management of the burn lesion are more significant factors than the choice of topical agents or the widespread use of antibiotics. It is possible to keep the wound clean and free of infection with adequate treatment and prepare it for spontaneous epithelization or skin grafting.
