The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the post-exposure management of healthcare workers who are occupationally exposed to HIV and HVB viruses. First, an exposure classification in types I, III, and III must be carried out to determine the appropriate management protocol. Then, it is possible to know if it is necessary to offer post-exposure prophylaxis. The management will be completed with education, follow-up, and recommendations for preventing the transmission of HIV and HVB.
